Review of 'The Wrestlers'
Surprise – A pub that actually serves decent Asian – in this case Thai – food. Not much to look at (though, thankfully, completely non-smoking) the place was packed on the day we visited for lunch. The menu is actually quite simple with a few main types of dishes and your choice of what type of meat (pork, beef, prawns, chicken and seafood) though they do also offer various traditional soups. My cashew stir-fry with pork was quite tasty with not only the vegetables and meat providing flavour but also an excellent sauce which seems to be pretty common – my fellow diners had the green curry which also had very tasty seasoning. The wait was a bit long at about 45 minutes but the time did go by fairly quickly as we munched on our prawn cracker starters (not bad, a bit but a bit bland). The dishes average at about £8 each so are not terribly expensive…
Definitely worth a visit for fans of good Thai cuisine looking for their fix in Cambridge. Parking may be a bit tricky…
