Review of 'Other Side Fried (NOW CLOSED)'

My new favourite fast-food restaurant in Hammersmith. In amongst all of the typical chains there is a light that shines through: “Feast Canteen” in Kings Mall replacing a rather dire food court in the same location. In here I keep ending up at “Other Side Fried”, a fried chicken stall that is extraordinarily tasty.

The menu is small with only six dishes to choose from (3 burgers, 3 sides) and, of course, soft drinks. I have been enjoying the “OSF” (£8.50), “Fried chicken, brown butter mayo, Parmesan, garlic and lettuce” which is a monster of burger with a huge slab of deliciously fried chicken (crispy coating and a thick juicy piece of chicken). The toppings are wonderfully creamy and the bun is soft, wonderful.

On the side I have been having the “Dirty Fries” (£5), Fries topped with “bacon, Parmesan, and ranch sauce” which is really tasty but I have to admit quite salty and I find it slightly bitter. Probably will be going with the fries with rosemary salt (£3) instead in future. The fries themselves are delicious - Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside and thin.

It is not the cheapest place to eat in Hammersmith but it has to be the best chicken burger around. After ordering you have a seat in the common seating area with a buzzer which goes off when you need to retrieve your food.

Fancy, this is not, delicious, this is.
