We have just moved around the corner from Askew Road, a rather leafy area of Shepherd's Bush in London and noted this small Japanese place so we decided to give it a try.

A few small tables on the pavement (not recommended with the amount of traffic going by on Askew Road) outside give this restaurant an air of welcome about it. With the traditional hanging cloths above the door this feeling is reinforced when you enter the small interior. They do takeaway …

A chain of restaurants throughout Britain that serves up Australian-style round pies with a wonderful flaky crust as well as other various Australian food stuffs (soft drinks, and snacks). There are specials on offer every day but we had the pie, mash, peas (chunky, crushed, peas) and gravy. The pie was not terribly large with a good amount of pastry but still very tasty. There are a good variety of fillings including things such as

I am a fan of Polish cuisine ever since I tried my first plate of dumplings when I lived in Winnipeg, Canada. True, they were the Ukrainian version but then moving on to Kielbasa (sausage) and borscht I grew to appreciate the Polish side more.
