Cliffs of Moher

[Cliffs of Moher]

Probably the single biggest attraction in County Clare, the Cliffs of Moher are in a remote location on the west coast of Ireland. This is a very popular place with a massive car park and quite an expensive entrance fee but the views are well worth it.
The site features O'Brien's Tower (perched at the top of the cliffs, offering great views), a small market and wonderful paved paths along the tops of the cliffs.

Cork

[River Dee]

Cork is quite a big city with a sprawling city centre that is well maintained and has a number of alleys that are worth exploring. The city centre is effectively an island in the River Dee, surrounding by picturesque canals. This is not an overly touristy place so expect to see a bit of how modern Irish people live with big name shops everywhere you look but on occasion, bits of true Irish culture can be found if yo…

Driving in Ireland

Driving in Ireland is certainly a test of anyone's abilities with narrow
lanes and fast drivers all over the place. Keeping a cool head and
concentrating is essential to driving in Ireland.

Signage is often inaccurate and missing so care must be taken to travel with
a good map and have a good idea of where you are going before you actually
set out.

County Kerry is the south west corner of the country and is home to some truly breath-taking scenery. The highlight of the area is driving around the “Ring of Kerry” which circles the area for a total of about 120 miles. The ring is a true test of a driver's stamina with it's winding track and narrow lanes, but this is made up for in the frequent stops for pubs and/or views of the ocean.
