Alicante is a big resort city on the south east coast of Spain, south of Valencia with a history

What to See

In addition to the beaches there are a number of churches and monuments that are worth a visit but, to be honest, just wander around.

A city that has it all: Amazing things to see, an interesting history, shopping, great food, excellent public transport, and, incredibly, a decent beach.

What to See

There are quite a number of things to see and do in Barcelona. For first time visitors a good idea is to probably take a hop-on-hop-off bus tour of the city (two operate here,

Compared to the nearby Alicante, Elche is much less touristy but is worth a visit. Located about 25 minutes by car to the west of Alicante, Elche is a sleepy residential town.

The town sits on either side of the Rio (river) Vinalopó which is also a large (free) park area that in the dry season is decorated with paint. The main tourist and commercial areas are to the east of the river, while the more residential areas are to the west.

I spent Easter in 2016 in Barcelona, so I have not travelled around the country but from what I saw in the city, I am certainly interested in seeing more. Great weather, delicious food, friendly people, interesting culture and beautiful landscape...

The sleepy, rather up-market seaside town of Moraira has a lot going for it...mostly because it is sleepy and by the sea...It is also home to a number of ex-pats from the UK and elsewhere with their large houses in the surrounding hills so property prices can be a bit expensive.

Tenerife is a small Spanish island in the Canaries off the west coast of Africa. The south and west coasts are generally full of large tourist resorts while the north is generally a lot less populated (you can guess which I prefer).
