Review of 'The Brethren'

The Brethren by John Grishom

Three judges in a minimum security prison dispense jail-house justice every week and in between these court sessions have found time to start a small mail scam involving an advertisement placed in gay magazines and preying on those that answer. Aaron Lake is a man who has been convinced that he can become president – and given the money by someone manipulating the system to his organizations own aims to buy his way there. Lake has answered one of those ads…Now the judges have far more power then they ever dreamed of. A rather cynical novel of how a presidential race is run (and won) and the justice system but another good page-turner from Grishom.
