Review of 'Wagamama'

The famous Asian noodle chain finally arrives in Cambridge. It is sure to be a hit with the student and tourist crowd as it offers a wide assortment of Asian-inspired dishes. I have been a fan of the chain ever since it first opened in London. It offers cafeteria-style seating on the first floor of their St. Andrews (Regent Street). I visited on the second day of their opening (just before closing) but the restaurant was not terribly busy though it was, doubtless, much busier earlier in the day. I started with chicken gyoza (small deep fried dumplings with a dipping sauce) which was good though a bit oily followed by the ebi kare lomen (spicy coconut soup, noodles and prawns). I had my favourite raw juice to wash everything down. A very pleasant meal that arrived at the table very quickly (and all at once…) with a smile despite my sitting at the far end of the somewhat noisy room. I will be back…many times. If you have not experienced Wagamama, you need to.
