Ringwood

Town Centre

Ringwood is a small town just outside of the New Forest in Hampshire, to the north of Christchurch and Bournemouth. It is immediately adjacent to the busy A31 which tends to provide a constant background drone of traffic. The high street has a number of small shops, pubs and restaurants with not so many bigger chains though is dead outside of shop hours.

There is a gentle walk alongside the “Bickerley Millstream” with not-so-charming views of the busy A31 in the distance.

“The Furlong Car Park” (pay and display) is the largest on the north side of the town centre with nearby Ringwood Meeting House & History Centre and is beside, unsurprisingly, The Furlong Shopping Centre which is more of a mall paved with brick but has a number of the big-name high street shops including Waitrose. There is no train station.
