Review of 'Bridge Drive-Inn'
A personal favourite
Always a line here, even when it is getting closer to winter (when it does close), “BDI” serves up soft serve ice cream and a massive selection of speciality sundaes such as the “Cantaberry” ($10.50) - a blueberry sundae served in half a cantaloupe - or “The 'Goog' Special” ($6.25 kids portion, $8.35 regular) - a blueberry upside down shake served with fudge and cream - at very reasonable prices. You order from old-style windows and wait patiently for the busy staff to prepare it for you.
The locals order their food then walk across the nearby Elm Park Bridge towards the quiet area of Kingston Crescent. Of course, this comes no where near working off the thousands of calories you are consuming…
There is a limited amount of seating around the building otherwise many will eat in their cars in the VERY small parking lot.
A local institution.
