St Louis, Senegal

Located on the Senegal coast just south of Mauritania (and the Sahara desert) St. Louis is home of the world-famous St. Louis Jazz Festival. It's colonial past has brought a distinct air of the mediterranean to the town with it's colourful architecture and fairly laid-back attitude. That is, of course, until the festival when the town welcomes people from across Africa and the world.
