County Cork
County Cork is on the south coast of Ireland.
Cork
Cork is quite a big city with a sprawling city centre that is well maintained and has a number of alleys that are worth exploring. The city centre is effectively an island in the River Dee, surrounding by picturesque canals. This is not an overly touristy place so expect to see a bit of how modern Irish people live with big name shops everywhere you look but on occasion, bits of true Irish culture can be found if you look hard enough.
The English Market
It is definitely worth taking the time to visit The English Market just off of the “Grande Parade” with it's amazing architecture and wide variety of foods on offer. You can eat here, get a takeaway or simply buy the ingredients and cook them yourself. There is a large, but rather expensive, car park located behind the market.
The market is open every day of the week except Sunday.
