Review of 'C & R Cafe Restaurant'

Located on a small back-alley in Soho just around the corner from the Swiss building in Leicester Square (towards Piccadilly Circus). C&R café is quite small (though it has a basement as well) and very busy. The menu was promising (a good selection though not TOO large, and quite reasonably priced) but did not really live up to my expectations. They serve a variety of Malaysian, Singaporean and Thai dishes (blurring the boundaries somewhat) so I had some typical dishes for such a restaurant: Tom Yum soup and Phad Thai. The soup was not too bad but the noodles was, surprisingly, tasteless and very greasy. The price was definitely very good and the service was as could be expected in the cramped and busy interior.

Rating: “A bit better than average”
