Brixham

Brixham from the South

Brixham is located on the south coast of Devon south across the harbour from Torquay. It is a small fishing village with a harbour that attracts a number of tourists. Houses are found generally on the top of the surrounding hills. There are also a number of holiday (caravan) parks nearby so it can get very busy in the summer.

Harbour

The harbour has a number of attractions including a replica of the Golden Hind, and a small market. The town centre is cobbled and has a number of winding streets well worth a wander through.

Town Centre

Public (paid) toilets are found on the “New Pier”. On the harbour, Simply Fish does some of the nicest fish and chips we have ever had.

Travel

Parking can be tricky but there is a large pay and display at Freshwater Quarry that extends almost to the New Pier. Getting around is easy on foot.
