Towns
Caerphilly
The small town of Caerphilly is a short distance north of Cardiff whose centre is dominated by Caerphilly Castle, the largest castle in Wales and the second largest in the United Kingdom (after Windsor Castle).
The town centre has a small mall (“Castle Court Shopping Centre”) with a series of small shops including charity shops and cafés as well as a large Morrisons at the east end.
An old building on the south side of the central Twyn Car Park (pay and display) houses the farmer's market held every Saturday. Nearby is a statue commemorating one of Caerphilly's most famous sons, comedian Tommy Cooper.
